One Party Consent Calls | Instructor: Cindi Nannetti, JD and Phil Hodgkins

To improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching investigators confrontation call best practices that are child-sensitive, developmentally-appropriate, and legally-defensible.

Intended Audience: This training is exclusively designed for professionals with duties that include interviewing suspected victims of child maltreatment, such as law enforcement, DCS professionals, professionals with the Office of Child Welfare Investigations, and Prosecutors.

Medical Aspects of Abusive Head Trauma Investigations | Instructor: Kathy Coffman, MD

To improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching stakeholders how to identify the physical injuries caused by child abuse events, specifically those related to abusive head trauma.

Intended Audience: Professionals with duties that include or will include interviewing suspected victims of child maltreatment, such as law enforcement, forensic interviewers, county attorneys, DCS Investigators, and medical professionals.

Legal Considerations in Child Abuse Forensic Interviews | Instructors: Jeanine Sorrentino, JD

To improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching investigators/prosecutors about laws that affect evidence and testimony.

Intended Audience: This training is exclusively designed for professionals with duties that include interviewing suspected victims of child maltreatment, such as law enforcement, DCS professionals, professionals with the Office of Child Welfare Investigations, and Prosecutors.
