OBJECTIVE: This course is designed to improve techniques for investigative interviews of children in a way that obtains the most amount of factual information and reduces additional trauma to the child victim.
Please note: This course is no longer the prerequisite to the Advanced Forensic Interview Training (this course is now built into the advanced training). Therefore, this course is a stand-alone training for those who are only interested in attending a basic 8-hour forensic interviewing course. If you are interested in attending the 32-hour Advanced Course instead, you can find more information at this link.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This training is exclusively for lead investigators of child maltreatment crimes, including detectives, Tribal CPS, DCS investigators, designated Forensic Interviewers, and Prosecutors. Anyone else who signs up for this course will be notified that they are being removed from the roster.
