1. Courtroom Testimony and Pre-Trial Interviews in Child Abuse Cases (9:00 am – 11:00 am)

Trainer: Cindi Nannetti, JD

To improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching investigators/prosecutors courtroom testimony protocols, witness techniques and best practices for pre-trial interviewing.

2. Interviewing Child Abuse Suspects (12:30 pm – 4:30 pm)

Trainer: Detective Bill Stuebe

This training focuses on the legal issues and techniques of interviewing adults suspected of committing child abuse, and is designed to improve the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases by teaching investigators interview techniques that gather the greatest amount of reliable information. Some information regarding interviewing juveniles suspected of child abuse is also included.

 

Note to law enforcement participants: We are working on getting this course sponsored by a law enforcement agency so that AZPOST credit can be provided.
